    Thanks for the flattering words! My response to your conclusion is that while advertisers may raise awareness and even market share with their odd-couple campaigns, I fear they're jeopardizing their brand image and alienating a large pool of potential customers who are turned off by the (literally) ad hominem, with-us-or-against-us, cool vs. uncool strategy. They're also beginning to look like a herd of copycats.

    You are right, Nancy. Very copycat, and very demeaning -- the two big problems with political ads.
