The whole family gathered 'round the radio tonight to listen to Terry Gross's interview with Sacha Baron Cohen, the British comic behind the personae Borat, Ali G and Bruno. The most amazing thing about the interview is that Cohen is not in character. He is himself -- a rare thing in interviews -- and he is a great conversationalist. I thought Gross was light on him -- so many tough questions she could have asked (e.g., the lawsuits filed by several people duped during the making of "Borat" -- she was gagged, I am guessing) -- but it almost didn't matter. You can listen to it here.
