... as in Point Reyes. Not Puerto Rico. Not public relations. Though all three are meaningful to me.
Point Reyes is where Eden and I spent the weekend, and it was so great I truly regret having to return to the Valley. Highlight: visiting the Marconi Conference Center, 1/2 hour north of Point Reyes Station where we lodged. In case you didn't know, Guglielmo Marconi is one of the fathers of radio and wireless, and the conference center is the latest incarnation of an amazing venue that has served, in succession, as a Marconi Wireless facility, a famous/infamous drug rehab center, and now one of the coolest places in Northern California for a business meeting. Highlight: the magnificent-but-now-defunct hotel that greets you at the park entrance, and which once served as the residence for "bachelor employees at Marconi Wireless." The hotel is under restoration. Prediction: this will become a hotspot for smart bachelors and bachelorettes in the 2010's. The view is tremendous, and the ties to tech history make it a great place for Silicon Valley company offsites.
